Words on friendship

Friends that I have… Friends that I had… To all of them I owe a piece of what I am today. Some of them admired me during my efforts to become another man. Others fought at my side. Even fewer knew how to recognize in me and to help me develop capacities that I was unaware of. I love them because they all are so different.

Friendship is a gift that people offer each other unconditioned. Almost like love. In love, people look for a reflection of their own feelings in the other people they feel spiritual closely. Friends aren’t always people who seem adequate to stay at our side a lifetime. And yet they do. They follow us in our most memorable moments, often these being due to them. Sometimes they stay in our way to getting reach or to gain power in a wrong way. I think that’s a part of their existence’s purpose. I mean, if you think of yourself as a “human”, how could you be capable to trample underfoot a friend in order to get reach?

I have few friends. Real friends. Not many people have something to offer and more less to give without some profit. How can you be someone’s friend without giving him a part of you, a part of your time? The time spent with your friends does not make money. It is not to be evaluating in such a way. A sunny day spent amongst friends measures in memories, laughs, colors which their charm adds to the world. Didn’t you notice how ugly the world is when you’re alone amongst strangers?

I wish to thank a woman, friend of mine for all the time she spent with me when I was sad and I was questioning my aim in life. She is far away, on another continent. I also wish to thank a woman that no accidentally was my lover; to her I owe the image I have of love together with the most beautiful moments that I could dream of. She is far away too.

Recently, to women gave me their friendship. One of them wanted to meet me due to the fact that she heard about me from her friends. She has the marvelous gift of sincerity and gladdens me whenever expresses her opinion. It’s like I hear myself talking. The second woman is blessed with human warmth a few people have. She knows how to listen and to help. I thank them both for being my friends.

What we would do without friends? Can you imagine a world in which everyone is fighting for himself trying to get something from his life? If it happens somehow that the world you used to know is as I described it sooner, well I believe that something is going in the wrong way. You’re not amongst the right people. You didn’t do anything to change things. I’m not talking about going on the streets asking for that, neither undertaking movements in order to create an opinion. All you have to do is stop listen to those who say you should consider yourself the best in the world. You’re certainly not. More, you have to open your eyes. All of you. Your friends are out there.

One more thing: no matter what they’ll say to you, friendship costs nothing, can’t be bought, can’t be arranged but can be lost! As any gift, you must not refuse it! Be you, be good, be sincere and friends will come. Friends always come. Depends on you if you turn the back on them or not…
